Latin Quarter Social – Friday 1st June

Friday 1st June @ the Blackwatch Club, 20 Arthurstone Terrace, Dundee DD4 6RS.

7.30pm – Bachata Moderna workshop- Improver/ Intermediate level (no beginners please) – Price £5 . Combo ticket with social £8
8.15pm FREE Beginners Salsa taster class
8.45-midnight – latin music for dancing (Salsa, bachata & a little kizomba) – Social £5
Pay on the door. Come & spice up your life, bring along friends & family and help raise money for former street children in Peru while having fun.

Latin Quarter CUBAN FEVER party & dance workshops

Latin Quarter presents Cuban Fever latin party 
Saturday 25th November 8- 12 pm at the Woodlands Hotel
13 Panmure Terrace, Broughty Ferry, Dundee DD5 2QL.

Tickets are £7 (£5 students with card) from classes or pay on the door. 
Come and feel the spirit of Cuba with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera, former Cuban dancer from Ballet Folklorico Cutumba dance company, Santiago de Cuba.  Evening starts at 8pm with a warm up taster Casino de Rueda (Cuban wheel dance), Yamil will be performing later in the night and get us all up for a fun line up.

All money raised goes to the Azul wasi project in Peru.
The night will have a Cuban feel but we’ll be playing a mix of music (cross body & Cuban salsa & bachata with some Son etc) to keep everyone happy hopefully !

Cuban dance Masterclasses with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera

Sat 25th Nov 2-5pm
@ Dundee Social Club (John Bett Lounge), 1 Thistle St, Dundee DD3 7RF

Classes will be 50 minutes. The first two classes are aimed for dancers with improver level (or above) cuban salsa dance experience.
The third class, Son Dance will be suitable for dancers with some cuban or cross body salsa experience.
Please note : None of the classes are suitable for beginners level.
Bring your own soft drinks to hydrate for the classes, as no bar.  No alcohol allowed in the room.
2pm – Cuban partnerwork – Improver/ Intermediate level
3pm – Casino de Rueda – Improver/ Intermediate level
4pm- Son dance – Suitable for any style salsa dancer (improver level or above)
Advance special prices :
1 class – £8,  2 classes £14,  3 classes £18

Full PASS for  £23 – for 3 workshops & Cuban fever eve pass 

Partial pass – £19 for 2 workshops & Cuban fever eve pass
SON pass – £13 for Son class & Cuban fever eve pass
On day prices :  1 class £10,  2 for £18 or 3 for £25.
Only Son pass available on the day, unless live outwith Dundee & email in advance to reserve a full or partial pass.

Latin Quarter – Halloween Social-31st Oct

LQ Halloween social – Tues 31st October @ the Deaf Hub, Dundee.
7-8pm – Bachata workshop- all levels, beginners welcome too
8-10pm – latin music for dancing
Bachata workshop only – £5, social £3, Combo – £6.
There will be a raffle too, all money raised from the event goes to the Azul Wasi Project near Cusco, Peru as usual.  Any donations for the raffle will be greatly appreciated.
If you would like to dress up for Halloween feel free ! not compulsory though.

Latin Quarter charity social – Saturday 25th March at the Forthill Sports Club (function suite), Fintry Place, Broughty Ferry, DD5 3BL, see directions below & google map. Doors open at 8pm with a beginners taster salsa class followed by latin music & dancing till 12.30am.  Entry to social £5/£4 (students), pay on door. Directions :
From bottom road from Dundee towards broughty ferry ( A930), turn left up fort street which leads onto forthill road, go up hill then take right turn onto Fintry Place, when you see school on right side, take left turn down a small road, signposted to sports centre on fence, follow road around to right, continue to car park. Building is to right hand side & upstairs (not sports centre on left side).

LATIN SPICE Regular Sunday event

Latin Spice Regular Sunday afternoon latin music party organised by Will in Soul Nightclub, St Andrews St, Dundee starting this Sunday, 5pm to 7pm.  The best of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Latin Pop.
