Hi folks, Hope you enjoyed a little taste of Cuban spirit last night with Yamil, was a fun night, thanks to everyone who came. Hoping some of you can support the workshops TODAY- 12-3pm for folks with improver or above level Cuban salsa experience (see below). There is also a Cuban rumba class at 3pm for anyone, £6, no dance experience necessary for this class. For Rumba class, if possible ladies bring a scarf and men a hankerchief. Don’t miss this chance for classes with Yamil from Cuba, it’s not very often we get such a great opportunity locally folks.
Please come 10 mins before class start time to register. Venue not open until 11.45am though, they are at the The Blackwatch club, 20 Arthurstone terrace, Dundee also no bar so bring own snacks & soft drinks, no alcohol allowed.

Cuban dance Masterclasses with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera

@ The Black Watch Club, 20 Arthurstone Terrace, Dundee DD4 6RS.
Classes will be 50 minutes long each. The venue will be open from 11.45am, please come 10 minutes before classes start to register if possible especially if still need to pay for classes. The first 3 classes are for dancers with improver level (or above) Cuban salsa dance experience. These classes are not for beginners.
The last class at 3pm, Rumba Guaguanco, will be suitable for beginners and dancers with some cuban or cross body salsa experience.
Please note :
Bring your own soft drinks to hydrate for the classes, as no bar. No alcohol allowed in the room.

12 noon- Cuban Improvers Partnerwork class
1pm – Cuban Intermediate Partnerwork class
2pm – Cuban Rueda de Casino (Improvers/ intermediate level)
3pm – Rumba Guaguanco – class open to anyone including beginners. I’ll bring some rumba skirts, but don’t have enough for everyone. We will learn the basic Rumba steps, a short routine then see how you can add this into Salsa dancing.
Advance class prices : 1 class – £8, 2 classes- £14, 3 classes -£18, All 4 – £20
On day prices :
Rumba Guaguanco class – £6
Cuban partner work or Rueda masterclasses – 1 class £10, 2 classes £18, 3 classes £23, all 4 – £25.

Latin Quarter and Dundee Salsa are joining forces to bring you a festive Charity Mixed Latin Night at The Gate, Perth Rd, Dundee. Money raised will go to the street children Azul Wasi Project in Peru. The evening begins with an Improver Bachata class at 8pm with Sarah (LQ) and then social dancing until midnight.
