6.15pm The usual Beginners Cuban Salsa class
7pm – Bachata Moderna workshop- Improver/ Intermediate level ( no beginners) – £5, Combo with social £6
7.45pm Beginners Bachata class -£3 , Combo with social – £4
8.15-10.30pm – latin music for dancing (Salsa, bachata & a little kizomba) – Social £3
Pay on the door.

Can join first 2 weeks only. Please come 10 min early to register & pay. Classes are progressive, no partner necessary, anyone welcome. Latin Quarter Social with a Sustainability twist

7.45pm Sustainable living talk with Joachim Grant (30 min talk -see below)

8.30-10.15pm – latin music for dancing (Salsa, bachata & a little kizomba)

Come and Join, Joachim Grant at 7.45pm, who will be kindly giving a talk about sustainable living. He has a double masters in Private International Law and is currently the Manager and sole author of the Website Thinknaturallivesimple.com. To peak your interest a few words from Joachim – For the past years, I have effectively divided my carbon footprint by 10! I try to live what we could call a sustainable lifestyle. Being part of the Zero Waste movement, I have only produced 25 grams of non-recyclable waste over the last 6 months, and gone 99% organic, saving money and time in the process. I created a website to disseminate information that may help people go quicker and profit from my own experience. In addition, I’m living off my passion: music! and all this while living a normal life! So see you Tuesday 13^th at my presentation!

Latin Quarter CUBAN FEVER party & dance workshops

Latin Quarter presents Cuban Fever latin party
Saturday 25th November 8- 12 pm at the Woodlands Hotel
13 Panmure Terrace, Broughty Ferry, Dundee DD5 2QL.

Tickets are £7 (£5 students with card) from classes or pay on the door.
Come and feel the spirit of Cuba with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera, former Cuban dancer from Ballet Folklorico Cutumba dance company, Santiago de Cuba. Evening starts at 8pm with a warm up taster Casino de Rueda (Cuban wheel dance), Yamil will be performing later in the night and get us all up for a fun line up.

All money raised goes to the Azul wasi project in Peru.
The night will have a Cuban feel but we’ll be playing a mix of music (cross body & Cuban salsa & bachata with some Son etc) to keep everyone happy hopefully !

Cuban dance Masterclasses with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera

Sat 25th Nov 2-5pm
@ Dundee Social Club (John Bett Lounge), 1 Thistle St, Dundee DD3 7RF

Classes will be 50 minutes. The first two classes are aimed for dancers with improver level (or above) cuban salsa dance experience.

The third class, Son Dance will be suitable for dancers with some cuban or cross body salsa experience.

Please note : None of the classes are suitable for beginners level.

Bring your own soft drinks to hydrate for the classes, as no bar. No alcohol allowed in the room.

2pm – Cuban partnerwork – Improver/ Intermediate level

3pm – Casino de Rueda – Improver/ Intermediate level

4pm- Son dance – Suitable for any style salsa dancer (improver level or above)

Advance special prices :

1 class – £8, 2 classes £14, 3 classes £18

Full PASS for £23 – for 3 workshops & Cuban fever eve pass

Partial pass – £19 for 2 workshops & Cuban fever eve pass

SON pass – £13 for Son class & Cuban fever eve pass

On day prices : 1 class £10, 2 for £18 or 3 for £25.

Only Son pass available on the day, unless live outwith Dundee & email in advance to reserve a full or partial pass.
