Latin Quarter Summer social dance & Bachata workshop – Tues 24th July

Our Summer LQ Social night will be at Tayside Deaf Hub on Tues 24th July 8.15pm till 11pm. Preceded by a Bachata workshop at 7.15pm, suitable for all levels including beginners will also be something for more experienced dancers too. Workshop & LQ £7. LQ social party or workshop only £4. All money goes to Azul Wasi project as usual. Please pass the word, this is the last LQ social night until Autumn. Will be a raffle too, any donations welcome. Please pop a poster up if you can.

SON workshop- Tues 10th July @ Tayside Deaf Hub
4 07 2012Next Tuesdays workshop at 6.30pm will be SON dance, £4, at Tayside Deaf Hub. This dance is the predecessor of Salsa originating in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, it’s a very nice dance and music. Well known artists like Buena Vista Social Club play son music, as do Son al Son, the band that come to play in Dundee at LQ. Workshop is suitable for anyone, although some dance experience would be helpful.

Tues beginners class cancelled – Weekly tues eve dance workshops instead
20 06 2012The beginners classes have been cancelled due to low numbers. However there will be a series of weekly workshops up until the summer break instead on Tues eves 6.30-7.15pm, £3 each at Tayside Deaf Hub. There will be different types of classes each week, eg. Son, Bachata, Merengue, styling, Cuban partner work, shines etc. Next Tuesday (26th June) will be a Bachata workshop suitable for all levels including beginners with something for more experienced dancers too.
