A VERY BIG thank you to all those who volunteered yesterday to provide a colourful Latin medley on the main stage at the Big tent festival in Falkland together with a performance and class in the Family Theatre tent. We raised £120.12 for the Azul Wasi project in Peru from crowd donations, so thanks again !

Tues beginners class cancelled – Weekly tues eve dance workshops instead
20 06 2012The beginners classes have been cancelled due to low numbers. However there will be a series of weekly workshops up until the summer break instead on Tues eves 6.30-7.15pm, £3 each at Tayside Deaf Hub. There will be different types of classes each week, eg. Son, Bachata, Merengue, styling, Cuban partner work, shines etc. Next Tuesday (26th June) will be a Bachata workshop suitable for all levels including beginners with something for more experienced dancers too. Bachata is a latin dance from Dominican Republic. No reservation necessary just turn up 5 min early. Email sarahbrox@gmail.com for more details.

BIG Thanks – LQ band night 27th April
30 04 2012MANY THANKS from Latin Quarter to everyone who supported the band night last Friday at The Invercarse. The night raised £741 (after all costs for band, PA, advertising etc) for the Azul Wasi project. A big thanks to everyone that helped during the night, donated raffle prizes and took part in the Rueda demo.

CONTINUING Beginners salsa class on Tuesdays @ Tayside Deaf Hub
12 04 2012Next block of 5 weeks continuing beginners classes starts on 24th April 6.30-7.15pm at the Tayside Deaf Hub, Old Mill, 23, Brown St. £4 per class or £15 for 5 week block pass. This class is suitable for the cross body salsa students who previously attended the Tuesday beg CB salsa class & the thursday mono CB salsa classes before Easter.
