BIG THANKS to EVERYONE who came on Friday to Dundee Social Club to support the 2nd Latin Quarter 21st Anniversary Charity night with the fantastic Latina Turners Orquestra. Special thanks to the band who brought us their latin spirit and played some lovely tunes. Really appreciate that some of the band gave up work time on Friday to get to Dundee in time to sound check & set up. Would also like to thank those of you who came from further afield too.
We raised a total of £680 (after all outgoings) for the children at Azul Wasi home in Peru. Big thanks to the venue bar staff, Mitch @ Audio Wave for sound and SAS advertising,. Many thanks to Fiona & Ann for looking after the entry & raffle and to Tania for continued support and help on the night. Thanks to Bob & Mark for helping load in the PA so it could get set in time. Big thanks to Tom Jolly who couldn’t be with us but made up the Azul Wasi table leaflets. There is a little video attached on Salsa Dundee Latin Quarter facebook group from the children.
Would also like to thank those who helped tidy up at the end of the night and for all the raffle donations. There were a few unclaimed prizes on table, if you left early and have your tickets still, send me a picture of the numbers and I can check if you won something.
If anyone took good pictures or videos please send to Sarah Salsa on messenger or to LQsalsadundee@gmail.com. I’ll post more in the LQ facebook group once sorted through them, if anyone doesn’t want to be online please make contact asap to inform to avoid this or after so these can be removed.
