Latin Quarter Social – Friday 26th September  @ Lodge Albert. 

79, Tullideph Road, Dundee, DD2 2JE. 

The evening will start with a Bachata Fusion Class at 7.30pm,  The class will be suitable for total beginners and have something for improvers too. 

There is also a free Taster Salsa Class , 8.15-8.45pm for anyone who is coming along new to the social. Bring along friends & they can learn the basic Salsa steps to kick start the evening.
Followed by dancing to salsa and bachata music with a touch of kizomba & merengue from 8.45pm till midnight.

This venue has a lovely dance floor, (see pictures attached) please pass the word. There is a licensed bar,, cash or cards accepted, please support the venue and purchase drinks. 
Adults are welcome to come to the dance classes and social.

Children are not allowed at this venue after 9pm  unfortunately.  

 It’s an opportunity to meet other dancers, practice moves and spice up your life !

Latin Quarter Cuban Fever latin party Friday 10th October  7.15 – 12 pm @  D undee Social Club,  1, Thistle Street, Dundee, DD3 7RF. 

Come and feel the spirit of Cuba with Yamil Cuedo Ferrera, former Cuban dancer from Ballet Folklorico Cutumba dance company, Santiago de Cuba. There will be 2 dance workshops at the start ( more details to follow) and Yamil will be spicing up the dance floor with his infectious animations (line ups) and a performance.  
The night will have a Cuban feel but we’ll be playing a mix of music (cross body and Cuban salsa, bachata with a few Son/Kizomba etc).
This venue has a large dance floor, please come and help fill it !  Also a licensed bar.  Please pass the word. Come in the front door & the function room is upstairs. 
8.45pm –  12 midnight, Social only – £7 ( £5, students with ID card).
Combo pass – 1 class & eve social  £10,  2 classes & eve social – £12

Children can come to the social, (but not the classes)  but have to leave venue by 10pm, Entry for children, £2 for social.

Next tuesday 29th july is the LAST Latin Quarter class before the Summer break @ the Deaf Hub. Classes will resume in September. So please come along.

I’ll be visiting the children at Azul Wasi this Summer, if anyone would like to donate something Dundee or Scotland related or stationery related or a cash donation for me to purchase something, let me know. You can bring it next tuesday to the Deaf Hub or get in touch for collection before 10th August.

Big thanks to everyone who came along to the Latin Quarter social @ the Deaf Hub last Tuesday, we raised £140.25 (after outgoings) for the Azul Wasi home in peru. Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes and to Tania for all her help with the classes and room set up/ down and to the other elves ! who helped tidy up at the end.

Bachata Fusion class @ 7.25pm – The class will be suitable for total beginners and improvers plus. Bachata is a dance from the Dominican Republic and often danced equally at latin socials along with Salsa, so good to get a few steps to share on the dance floor !
Followed by the social dancing 8.15pm till 10.30pm.
Anyone is welcome to come to the dance class and social. It’s an opportunity to meet other dancers and practice moves from classes.

She has other jobs on this week though, so will take about a week, as she is editing them and doing some nice backgrounds. I have seen a preview of mine, look great.
