Remember its the Deaf Hub LQ social tomorrow night @ 8.30pm with Kizomba workshop before at 7.30pm. Bachata fusion class is on at 6.30pm instead of 6.15pm too.

ALSO this tuesday will be the LAST Deaf Hub LQ classes before the summer break so hope to see you all there. Classes will restart on 5th or 12th September again, will confirm date in a few weeks time. Also remember the next Blackwatch social will be on fri 15th September too.

Anyone is welcome to come to the workshop and social. It’s an opportunity to meet other dancers and practice moves from classes .

7.30pm – Kizomba Taster £5 ( suitable for beginners)

8.30pm to 11pm – latin music for dancing (Salsa, bachata & a little merengue/kizomba) – Social only £3

Combo ticket, Social & Kizomba class £7

Pay on the door, cash only. Please bring along friends & family & help raise money for charity while having fun ! All money raised goes to the Azul Wasi home, near Cusco for former street children in Peru. There will be a raffle too. There will be NO bar but you can bring your own drinks including alcoholic ones. There should be a few snacks and soft drinks on sale in the Deaf Hub.

There is no parking outside venue, please park on Brown Street instead.

New Bachata fusion classes @ The Deaf Hub – 5 week block starting Tuesday 20th June @ 6.15pm- 5 week pass available for £20 or £5 a class.  CASH only, please come 10 min early to register and pay on the 20th.  Money raised for Azul Wasi project in Peru.

Class will be open to total beginners for first week only.  But there will be something for those who already know the basics and for those who came to the 3 week class recently or if you have done some bachata previously.  So please come along. Please pass the word and share or pop up a poster if you can.

Bachata music is often played at Salsa latin socials so good to add to repertoire of dances. Bachata Fusion is a mix of styles will be mainly bachata moderna style, with a bit of  dominican and sensual thrown in.

ALSO PLEASE SAVE THE DATE – Next LQ Blackwatch social will be September 15th, also will be a tuesday DEAF HUB social before mid July hopefully too, details to follow. 

Just a reminder, no classes on tues 13th June for 1 week only folks, class back on 20th June.

A very BIG thank you to everyone who came to the Latin Quarter Charity Social at the Black Watch last night, especially those who came from afar.   We raised £331 for the children at the Azul Wasi project in Peru, which is great. Big thanks to the Black Watch Club for hosting the event, to the bar staff, and Ann & Emma for doing the door and selling raffle tickets. A special thank you to Tania for helping teach the Kizomba taster class and to everyone who helped tidy up at the end.  

Big thanks to Bill for donating such a generous 1st prize at the raffle for a sea kayaking lesson and to everyone else who donated raffle prizes. I’ll post details for Bill’s kayaking and karate classes soon incase anyone else wants to have a go.

Big thanks to everyone who came to The LQ social last night at the Deaf Hub, we raised £225 in total for the Azul Wasi project in Peru ( after room hire costs). Thank you to Tania for helping with the classes as always and helping to set up and to Shane and Emma with the raffle tickets and to everyone who helped pack up at the end. Big thanks for the raffle donations too.

The next LQ social is fri June 2nd at the Black watch club, with a Kizomba taster, suitable for beginners, more details to follow soon.
