Salsa Dundee

All classes are running this tuesday, remember it’s a Bachata improvers workshop at 8.20pm for those with some bachata experience.

Very sorry to have to cancel all classes this Tuesday but awaiting a PCR test result after being a close contact, so won’t know result in time to run classes tomorrow.  

All classes will run as planned on Tuesday 9th November unless another message appears before then. The 8.20pm dance workshop on the 9th will be Bachata improvers workshop. Any queries email LQsalsadundee@gmail.com.

New dance workshops starting next Tuesday, 8.20 to 9.10pm at the Deaf Hub.  Some are suitable for total beginners, others not. 

To start it’s a Bachata Improvers workshop on tuesday 26th October, £5. This  dance workshop is only suitable for those who already have the basics of bachata dance and have done at least 8 to 10 weeks of  beginners Bachata in the past.

Please  come 5 min early to register and pay, bring correct cash please and your own pen to speed up the registration process. Phone numbers will be collected for test and trace.   

Please wait in the cafe room just outside hall until class before has finished I’ll indicate when to come in.  At this point please come to register at  the desk so can get through these extra processes as quickly as possible so doesn’t eat into the class time too much. 

Covid things 
Please do not attend if you ( or anyone you have been in contact with) feel unwell or have any Covid Symptoms. 
Wear face mask indoors unless exempt.Provide contact details for test and trace, venue has no QR code so need to do a register for this.  Bring your own pen please.

Hand sanitizer will be available to use regularly. Double vaccination and/or negative LFT on the day would be desirable if possible.  
Main hall door & emergency exit will be open for ventilation so bring extra layer incase cold. 

LQ Beginners Salsa class at Deaf Hub is now FULL, so please do not attend unless already have a space or a confirmation email to attend.

NOTE : Other 2 classes below are higher level classes and only open to those with experience, please contact teacher in advance to check level to join if new to Latin quarter classes.

Improvers / intermediate Cross body salsa 7.15 – 8pm
Cuban salsa class 8.15 to 9.05pm. This class will be Cuban partner work only NOT rueda initially. Also if not enough couples this class may not run, will assess situation in first 2 weeks. If class does not run thinking to do a Beginners Bachata fusion class instead and an occasional Cuban partnerwork or rueda class for those with experience already.

We raised £ 73 in the charity Quiz last tuesday, many thanks to Bernie & John for doing the quiz.  We also raised £36 in the shines & raffle.  Big thanks to those who also made donations to the charity account recently totalling £65 and for the raffle prize donation. So a grand total of £174 for The Azul Wasi project in Peru.

THIS IS VERY SHORT NOTICE, SORRY:

Latin Quarter ZOOM Quiz tomorrow eve (25th May) at 7pm for 40 mins folowed by a 30 min salsa shines session & raffle at 8pm on ZOOM.

The shines session is mostly footwork from the cross body tuesday classes in the past, only suitable for those with improver level salsa experience. Money raised for Azul Wasi project in Peru as usual.

Suggested donations is £5 each session which needs to be completed before 5pm tuesday. Details of how to donate will be emailed along with the zoom link.
