LQ Meet the Italian Cook

Our second of the LQ Charity Meet the … series is on Tuesday 10th November, 6.30pm with Meet the Italian cook Elvira who will be making Polpettone (sicilian style) – there will be a veggie version too. Delivered by a 40 min zoom class, which will be extended by another zoom link if need extra time.
To book one of the 20 spaces for the class, email LQsalsadundee@gmail.com by Sunday evening for details about how to donate to the Azul Wasi home in Peru for former street children along with the zoom link and most importantly your list of ingredients to allow you to get them in time !
Suggested donations for the LQ zoom events are £ 4 – £5 for each person attending, but if people want to donate less or more that’s fine. We’re aware people are all in different circumstances financially at present. All donations go to the Azul Wasi project in Peru.

Meet the activist Joachim Grant for a talk on how to live/travel in a more sustainable and efficient way.

We will kick off our charity Meet the … series with the very enthusiastic and engaging Joachim Grant from France. 
Meet environmental and animal rights activist Joachim Grant for a talk on how to live/travel in a more sustainable and efficient way.  The talk will include veganism, zero waste living, biking, reducing spending and therefore reduce impact and pursue what you plan on in life.

 
Tues 3rd Nov at 7.30pm UK time- 40 min zoom session. To book a space for Joachim’s talk and/or for the Meet the Italian Cook session on the 10th Nov (6.30pm) email LQsalsadundee@gmail.com to reserve a space, by sunday 1st Nov evening for the talk on the 3rd. You’ll then be sent information about how to donate to the Azul Wasi project in Peru for former street children along with the ZOOM link for the session.A suggested donation for each of the sessions is £ 4 – £5 each person attending, but if you want to donate less or more that’s fine. Pleased to announce the new Meet the ….. series

We hope everyone is well and safe. Just thinking of other ideas to help raise money for the Azul Wasi project in Peru while our dance classes are not running due to covid. Very pleased to say a few volunteers are happy to talk to you or demonstrate their skills for a donation for Azul Wasi. Hoping to bring the following delights to by 40 min zoom session ( or 2 x 40 min sessions back to back)

Meet the Italian cook – 6.30pm Nov 10th – making Polpettone (sicilian style). Will be a veggie version aswell.

Meet the dancers Yamil and Kath – dance style to be announced soon

Meet the educator Tom Jolly (our link person with Azul Wasi)- Sustainable futures- Uniting the Nations – over the next 75 years. And a surprise session hopefully, waiting to be confirmed. May also be a few footwork shines classes on zoom if camera work allows.

We really hope people will engage with these ideas and sessions leading up to Christmas. NEW Beginners Cross Body Style Salsa, classes start tues 7th may, 6.15-7.05pm, at The Deaf Hub, Old Mill, 23, Brown St, Dundee. 10 week block pass £35, or £5 per class weekly. This tuesday will be an extra ( and last before classes break) Improvers Bachata class at the Deaf Hub – @ 6.15pm, £4.  Other 2 salsa classes running as usual.

Also BIG thanks to everyone who came to the Bachata Rueda class & LQ social last tuesday we raised £135 (after room hire excluded) for the Azul Wasi project in Peru.

Rueda de Bachata workshop – 7.15-8.15pm- this is our first time trying this, it’s bachata in a circle where you change partners. Should be fun ! ( you need some bachata basic experience for this workshop- not suitable for beginners)- £5
