Classes are progressive, Anyone welcome, no partner usually necessary as usually we change partners in the class, however this may be a difficulty as some people may not want to change partners due to Covid like last term, which is understandable. As guidance stands at present in Scotland I think we need to still wear facemasks to move around the building. We will discuss face mask wearing in the first class like last term, especially for the people who will be changing partners to see what the majority think like we did last term, although I think you don’t have to legally wear them for exercising. People in classes last term opted for wearing masks (unless exempt) for close partnerwork but will go with class consensus. I will continue to collect details for test and trace at start of the block. Hand sanitizer will also be available.
Given current covid situation a negative lateral flow test within the 24 hours before class time to help reduce the spread is desirable if possible. See other covid information below. Please pass the word. All money raised for Azul Wasi project for former street children in Peru.

NOTE : Other 2 classes below are higher level classes and only open to those with relevant dance experience, please contact teacher in advance to check level to join if new to Latin quarter classes. Please come 5 to 10 min early to register and pay. Given lower numbers last term in these classes I have slightly increased class price to cover room hire and raising money for Azul wasi and increased to an 8 week pass to reduce money handling. Class pass option for 2nd 2 classes will now be £30 for 8 classes or £4 per class.
There will be options in classes for those who do not wish to change partners and for those who do hopefully but we will have to assess partner situation each session if you do not come with one.
Improvers / intermediate Cross body salsa 7.15 – 8pm
8.15 – 9.05pm class. The 8.15pm class this term will be : first 2 weeks Bachata improver class ( 1st & 8th feb ). After this it will be a 3 week Cuban conversion class, partnerwork ( open to those who are already improver level cross body salsa dancers who want to convert to learn cuban style dance, hopefully leading to Rueda eventually once Covid reduces). If not enough couples this class may not run, will assess situation in week 3. PLEASE email if you are interested in a space in the cuban conversion class from week 3 (15th Feb) so can get an idea for numbers please.
