Charity Cycle for Azul Wasi

13 01 2021

Hola Latin Quarter

I hope you’re all as well as you can be and I send you my best wishes from down here in the wild west. So here we go again and my suspicion is that we have a long haul still ahead.

So it’s time to get back on the bicycle and see if I can tempt you all into a bit of light hearted sport action challenge related predictive commitment and monetary obligation (effectively a bet). And raising a few coppers for Azul Wasi at the same time.

And those coppers will add up, for last July’s event your coppers added up to £700……fab, thanks and well, well done….as equally for all the other coppers from the Zoom events that have happened too. I know this is really appreciated by Alcides and the boys.

I have planned a 30 mile route, one mile for each of the boys and carers at Azul Wasi, which I will complete before the Spring Equinox on the 21st March. It will be an up and down route and I will ride it in one session only. This should be COVID compliant and safe (I’m fitting some stabilisers I picked up recently from the tip).

As with the July ride to 3000 masl, this weekend – Sat 16th Jan – I will be posting the details to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/thomas-jolly

There will be a number of aspects of the challenge for you to consider and have a stab at predicting actually what will happen on the day, for which you will be able to make your commitment and be in the running for one of our wonderful Peruvian prizes.

Please therefore check out the Justgiving site at the weekend, take some time to digest the ‘form’ information and opportunities for prizes and register your predictions.

Thank you for your support and stay safe, Abrazos con distancia, Tom
